About Iconic Taxi App

I am a licensed London Black Cab driver and Green Badge holder.

Iconic Taxi App was created from first-hand experience: the ranks, airport queues, station runs, traffic issues, major events, and the constant need for reliable information while working a shift.

Social media and group chats are not just full of back-and-forth conversations between drivers. They can also contain hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of messages that drivers have to scroll through before starting work, just to find the information that actually matters. Current information can quickly become buried, making it harder for drivers to find reliable updates when they need them most.

I became frustrated with useful information being spread across different feeds and group chats, so I decided to build something better: a dedicated platform, created by a working driver for working drivers.

Using constructive feedback from fellow drivers, I have been able to design and develop this app around the real needs of drivers on the road.

What It Does

Iconic Taxi App brings real-time information together in one place, including rank updates, airport queues, station flow, traffic alerts, and major event schedules.

Instead of drivers having to search through endless messages or different platforms, the app gives them a central place to find useful updates quickly and clearly.

It also gives drivers and trade businesses a trusted space to connect professionally. Access is restricted to verified badge holders, helping to keep the platform secure, relevant, and focused on the people who work in the industry.

The Commitment

I use this platform myself because I am part of the same community. My goal is simple: to make life on the road easier, strengthen the Black Cab network, and give drivers a dependable hub for real-time information.

The platform grows through driver participation, regular feedback, and continuous improvement. That is what makes it valuable for the whole trade.

How It Is Funded

Revenue goes directly back into keeping the platform running, maintained, and improved. The aim is always to keep driver costs as low as possible.

Trade businesses advertising on the platform help balance those costs and keep it affordable for everyone.
